Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams' Las Vegas fight has been called off at the last minute.

The double Olympic gold medal victor, who clinched gongs at the 2012 and 2016 Games in London and Rio respectively, had been set to fight on the undercard of the middleweight world title showdown between Saul Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

NICOLA ADAMS' dreams of making her Las Vegas debut were dashed just hours before she was due to open the Canelo-Golovkin bill at the T-Mobile Arena after her opponent, Alexandra Vlajk, encountered problems with a blood test.

BBC Sports reports that the 35-year-old, who said the bout would not go ahead because of a problem with her opponent, added: "Thank you everyone for your support and kind messages".
