His move comes hours after Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier, one of the country's most prominent black corporate executives, quit the council over Trump's initial failure to condemn white supremacists.
Trump also assailed the CEOs who left on Twitter as "grandstanders" and said he had plenty of executives available to take their place.
Mr Frazier is not the first executive to resign from advisory councils serving Mr Trump.

The AFL-CIO, which has two members on the council, said Monday that it denounces "bigoted domestic terrorists" and called on Trump to follow.
Kevin Plank, the chief executive of Under Armour Inc.'s issued a more vague statement about his decision. A spokesperson for the company confirmed that there is no representative from Ford on the council. A spokesperson said the company is no longer a member of the council. "However, Under Armour engages in innovation and sports, not politics".
In June, Elon Musk, chief executive of Tesla Motors Inc. and SpaceX, and Robert Iger, chief executive of the Walt Disney Co., announced they were stepping down from White House councils after Trump announced he was withdrawing the United States from the Paris climate accord.
