  • Tyga and C.J. Wallace Join MTV's Scream Season 3

Cast your mind back to October of 2016, when MTV announced plans for a third, truncated season of its Scream reboot, and you'll likely recall the moment in which erstwhile showrunners Michael Gans and Richard Register stepped down from the helm, prompting a search for new talent to oversee the six-parter.

Rapper-actors Tyga and C.J. Wallace have been tapped for leading roles in the six-episode season, which will return in March with a special three-night binge model. The season features an entirely new cast, location and premise. Tyga is slated to play the role of Elliot's step-brother Jamal, who has a completely different perspective of the world than his younger sibling. Also on board: C.J. Wallace, aka the son of The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans. The character is a good kid whose strict parents expect him to keep clean during high school, stay away from girls and ultimately find his place within the family business. Facing death makes Amir reconsider what he wants for his life and the lengths he's willing to go to find his identity and chase his dreams - should he survive. However, this marks their first outing as series regulars.
