Police say a northeastern IN woman has died after a pickup truck tire went through the windshield of the SUV she was driving on Interstate 465 IN Indianapolis. A tire came off a truck driving northbound, bounced over the median and hit the woman's vehicle at the roofline/windshield.

Sgt. John Perrine said the woman, who he could not immediately identify, was from northern Indiana. State police say the driver was taken to a hospital, where she died later Monday. Additional information will be available on Tuesday morning, he said.
