Wenger says 'Arsenal need' Giroud amid transfer speculation

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is adamant that Olivier Giroud still has a big role to play for the club next season.

The France global made 39 appearances in the 2016-17 campaign, but only 11 of his 29 Premier League outings saw him handed a starting role.

Reports suggest Giroud has subsequently grown restless and would favour a transfer out of the club in pursuit of first-team football.
