Trump willing to testify under oath on Comey

President Trump and his allies lashed out at former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey after his congressional testimony on June 9, while some Republican lawmakers had a more measured defense of the president. You suggested he didn't tell the truth in everything he said.

Update: President Trump gave the same maybe-I-did, maybe-I-didn't statement in a press conference Friday.

Comey's testimony gave the special counsel plenty of material to consider as he investigates whether the president or his associates acted illegally.

The question of whether there are tapes of his conversations with Comey has also dogged Trump. "Yesterday showed no collusion, no obstruction".

Trump said Comey's statements vindicated his long-held claims that he did not collude with Russian Federation to tip the election in his favor and that he did not interfere with the federal probe.

Trump again refused to say if there are tapes of his conversations at the White House. No I didn't say that and I didn't say the other.

"I think he abused power", said House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. "Whether he obstructed justice remains for the facts to come forward".

Predators fans didn't have a Cup Final to host on Friday, so they sold out Bridgestone Arena to watch Game 5 on the jumbotron . If the Stanley Cup Final were played exclusively in Pittsburgh , it may have been one of the most lopsided series of all time.

Comey made clear that he'd be more than happy to go to the tape. Is the president tacitly acknowledging that he did tell Comey to do that?

"We also were aware of facts that I can't discuss in an open setting that would make (Sessions') continued engagement in a Russia-related investigation problematic, " Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee Thursday.

President Donald Trump denied on Friday that he had told then-FBI chief James Comey he hoped Comey could let go an investigation into a former national security adviser, adding he was willing to give his version of events under oath. "We wrote to the Federal Bureau of Investigation requesting that they investigate such matters".

"Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication.and WOW, Comey is a leaker!"

Republican Rep. Mike Conaway and Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff said they had also written to Don McGahn, the White House counsel, and asked him whether White House recordings or memos of Comey's conversations with Trump exist. "He's a leaker", Trump said. The other is Comey's assertion that Trump twice told him, "I need loyalty" during a January 27 dinner.

He did say, under oath, that you told him to let the Flynn - you said you hoped the Flynn investigation, you could let - he could let go.
