Actor and comedian Bill Cosby arrives for the third day of his sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania, June 7, 2017.

O'Neill has granted a mistrial in the case of Bill Cosby after more than 52 hours of deliberation left the jury deadlocked.

"I remind everyone that this is not vindication or victory", Montgomery County Judge Steven O'Neill told the courtroom in Norristown, Penn., just outside Philadelphia, after polling each of the jurors and declaring a mistrial in the high-profile case.

Bill Cosby was facing three charges of aggravated indecent assault and prosecutors have said they intend to retry the case.

Despite Judge O'Neill's reminder that a mistrial doesn't equal a "not guilty" verdict, Cosby's publicist reportedly painted the result in a favorable light, claiming it "restored" the actor's power.

Consisting of seven men and five women, the jury began deliberation on Monday after hearing closing arguments.

She continued, adding, "I said 'I trust you.' I took the pills and I swallowed the pills down".

Bill Cosby's wife, Camille, released a statement on Saturday, assailing the district attorney, the judge and attorneys for women who accused Cosby of molesting them.

Before going on trial, Cosby expressed hope he could eventually resume his career. Cosby's civil case is expected to start sometime this summer in Los Angeles.

Constand had testified that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her at his mansion in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

He waited in the clubhouse for more than four hours, until Dufner s decisive 18th-hole putt, in case he was needed for a playoff. With a back left pin, the shot fit what he was trying to do, and he said the bonus was that it found the bottom of the cup.

"We're talking about all the man's tomorrows", said McMonagle, urging acquittal of an icon in the twilight of life.

Comedian Bill Cosby, pictured December 30, 2015 to the Court House in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault over an incident that took place in 2004 with accuser Andrea Constand.

On Thursday, Cosby's spokesman Andrew Wyatt argued that the deadlocked jury proved jurors were "conflicted about the inconsistencies".

Constand's story led another woman to step forward, telling the Today show that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in the 1970s. "We wanted an acquittal, but like the Rolling Stones song says, you can't always get what you want; sometimes you get what you need".

Constand "has shown such courage through this, and we are in awe of what she has done", Steele said. Cosby and his attorneys also maintain the January 2004 incident with Constand was one of at least three consensual sexual encounters between the two.

"She will absolutely come back again", she said. That night in early 2004, she said, he gave her three pills, calling them "your three friends to help you relax", and told her they were herbal.

Gloria Allred, an attorney representing more than 30 Cosby accusers, welcomed the prosecutors' decision to seek a retrial.

More than a dozen excerpts from Cosby's deposition, including the "friends" comment and his acknowledgment that he'd gone "somewhere between permission and rejection" during a previous encounter with Constand.

There's no doubt he said under oath, during a deposition, that he bought Quaaludes to give to women he wanted to bed. The entire time, since Constand first talked to police until this month's trial, Cosby's legal team has insisted there was no case.
