GB : 12 arrestations dans l'est de Londres après l'attentat

La police londonienne a annoncé avoir arrêté douze personnes ce dimanche matin à Barking, dans l'est de Londres, en relation avec l'attentat de la veille sur le London Bridge qui a fait sept morts.

Plusieurs perquisitions sont en cours, a précisé le police.

Les trois terroristes ont d'abord foncé, à bord d'une camionnette blanche, sur des passants le long du London Bridge avant de descendre du véhicule et de se rendre à Borough Market et d'attaquer tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient avec des couteaux.

Un photographe de Reuters a pu voir la police faire sortir quatre femmes, visage couvert, d'un bloc d'immeubles où les forces de l'ordre ont effectué une opération dans la matinée. D'après la chaîne Sky News, des policiers lourdement armés se sont rendus notamment au domicile de l'un des trois suspects abattus lors de l'attentat.

"Ils ont renversé des tas de gens", a témoigné à la radio Chris, un chauffeur de taxi.
