Hier, Édouard Philippe affirmait qu'il n'y avait "aucun" problème au maintien de François Bayrou au sein du gouvernement. A l'origine, ce ne devait être qu'un " miniremaniement ", un simple " ajustement technique ", avec l'entrée de quelques secrétaires d'Etat et hauts-commissaires, affirmaient encore en début de semaine les proches du chef de l'Etat. C'est le cas notamment de la nouvelle ministre des Armées, Florence Parly, 54 ans, qui fut secrétaire d'Etat au Budget dans le gouvernement de Lionel Jospin entre 2000 et 2002.

"C'est une Européenne et elle s'applique des règles qui peuvent étonner en France mais correspondent aux standards dans d'autres pays", souligne ainsi un journaliste politique du quotidien Le Figaro.

"Il a affirmé avoir évoqué sa démission avec le président dès l'ouverture de l'enquête préliminaire sur les emplois présumés fictifs au MoDem". Bayrou est "personnelle" et qu'il souhaite pouvoir se "défendre" dans cette affaire.
