#26 - Caleb Swanigan - Portland Trail Blazers

23 Juin, 2017, 13:37 | Author: Marie-Claire Cellier

Coming off a strong second season with the Boilermakers, the 6-foot-9 Swanigan was selected Thursday by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 26th overall pick of the National Basketball Association draft.

Portland had the 26th pick in Thursday's draft and selected Purdue forward Caleb Swanigan.

How will Swanigan fit in Portland? The return paid dividends as the big man earned First Team All-American Honors and led Purdue to a Big Ten Conference title.

Salah has everything to succeed at Liverpool, says former Red Luis Garcia
The better players you have, the better you can work on the Premier League because you can give them rest. Last season with Roma we played five at the back and two strikers; I was a second striker, like a No.10.

Swanigan averaged 18.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game his sophomore season at Purdue and although he's called a "tweener" (hyrbid PF/C), his skillset scoring in the post and rebounding could be just what Portland needs moving forward.

Swanigan measures in at 6-foot-8, 246 pounds. Although his size and strength assist him on the offensive end, he lacks the springy jumping abilities of many comparable prospects, which limits him defensively.
