A bear cub managed to lock itself inside of a couple's SUV in Virginia.

The Roanoke County, Virginia Police Department shared the story on its Facebook page Thursday, along with a photo showing the bear.

A Virginia family had an unusual start to their Thursday morning after they found a bear inside their vehicle. When they went outside to see what caused the commotion, the couple found a bear sitting inside their SUV.

"If you did get too close, he would scratch the window", Mary Beth McClanahan said.

"So, I was like, 'what is going on?' I look out the window and I can see the vehicle kind of shaking and I hear noises", McClanahan said. He says bears are more afraid of people than the other way around.
