For the second year in a row, Tottenham Hotspur were the last team obstructing the eventual Premier League champions from their inevitable glory.

Antonio Conte's pacesetters can now secure the crown by winning two of their final four games - and they face Middlesbrough and West Brom before Tottenham are next in action.

Spurs are second in the standings with 77 points from 35 matches, four behind Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

Spurs are in second place in the Premier League and their chances of overhauling Chelsea and finishing top took a serious blow with defeat to West Ham on Friday evening. But Pochettino knows they can have few complaints after a strangely lethargic display lacking both poise and passion. And Pochettino conceded his players came up short when they most needed to show they could cope under duress.

"If you win the league, you learn".

"To win a league or a trophy is a key moment. There are many reasons that it wasn't our best day".

Speaking to the BBC after Tottenham's lost, Pochettino commented that, "It's not over" before explaining that he and his team will "have to wait but are thinking that it will be hard to catch Chelsea".

With no goal in the opening 45 minutes during the clash with West Ham there is very little to shout about.
