For a team completely lacking in guards and perimeter shooting, a very guard stacked draft is the ideal way for them to address their needs.

The NBA's most decorated team earned the right to lose to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals with a Game Seven victory over the Washington Wizards, and they received the first-overall pick (thanks to the Brooklyn Nets) in the 2017 NBA Draft at the NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday night.

"That felt pretty good", Grousbeck said. "There's a lot of good feelings around the Celtics right now".

So, after Tuesday night's lottery took place, we put it to a vote on Twitter.

Markelle Fultz is projected to be the top overall pick, and the Celtics could use the pick to pair him in the backcourt with Isaiah Thomas. But those guys didn't play for teams that went 9-22 like Fultz did. Last night they entered the National Basketball Association lottery with a chance at the #1 pick, and a guarantee of a pick in the top four. Los Angeles reportedly wants Fox and Ball to have a head-to-head workout for them, according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress. If the Lakers fall out of the top three, their pick goes to the 76ers, who would get it from Phoenix per terms of a three-team trade with Milwaukee at the 2015 deadline. Unless you have been living in a cave, you have heard of Lonzo Ball's desire to play for the Lakers, who now seem destined to take him at #2, but might the Lakers trade the #2 pick in a deal for an established superstar in Paul George, who has Los Angeles roots? But at the third pick, it also feels irresponsible to pass on the prospect that the team believes has the best chance of becoming an All-Star level player.

Isaiah Thomas on the Cavs: 'They're not the Monstars'
According to ESPN , Thomas recently revealed to reporters that he is talking to Fultz and they are good friends. Now that the Celtics officially have that pick, it gives them much more leverage to pull off a deal.

New team president Magic Johnson evaluated Lonzo Ball multiple times in person and said during the NCAA Tournament that his father's outspoken nature was not a negative.

"The pain that we've all gone through, the pain of losing is real". "We look forward to a young player that we'll be able to draft next month".

"That's all we working out for is the Lakers", LaVar Ball said in an exclusive interview with Lakers Nation.

In addition to the fourth overall pick, the Suns possess their own second-round pick (32nd overall) and Torontos second-round pick (54th).

The Knicks, represented at the proceedings in a private room at the New York Hilton Midtown by a dapper Walt Frazier, could finish anywhere in the order from first to tenth.
