Le procès de la filière djihadiste Cannes-Torcy, démantelée en 2012, qui s'est ouvert jeudi devant une Cour d'assises spéciale à Paris, est hors norme.

Dix des suspects sont en détention provisoire, sept sont libres sous contrôle judiciaire et trois sont visés par un mandat d'arrêt - un en fuite et deux soupçonnées d'être en Syrie.

La plupart d'entre eux encourent tout de même entre 30 ans de réclusion criminelle et la perpétuité. Le vrai meneur, Jérémie Louis-Sidney, qui avait "la haine des juifs" et "pensait que le combat de Mohamed Merah était légitime", selon un de ses camardes, a été abattu en 2012 lors son interpellation.

"Ce procès est emblématique parce qu'il va apporter les signes anoniateurs qui vont conduire aux attentats de 2015 sur les modes opératoires, sur les conversions, sur les phénomènes de radicalisation en prison, sur la mise en place d'une des premières filières avec la Syrie". D'autres n'adoptent pas du tout cette attitude, restent fermés, concentrés, avec les traits tirés.

Ce procès doit se tenir jusqu'au 7 juillet prochain avec 53 jours d'audience, 85 tomes de procédure, plus de 80 témoins et 14 experts qui seront auditionnés.

Le 6 octobre 2012, un vaste coup de filet est lancé pour arrêter une vingtaine de membres présumés du groupe, simultanément à Torcy, dans l'agglomération cannoise et à Strasbourg où Jérémie Louis-Sidney, en visite chez sa compagne, est tué en résistant aux policiers.

Certains "Cannois", dont le Tunisien Maher Oujani, sont arrêtés début juin 2013 alors qu'ils envisagent une attaque imminente contre une caserne dans la Var, tandis que d'autres, de retour de Syrie en 2014, comme Ibrahim Boudina, sont soupçonnés d'avoir voulu commettre un attentat de masse sur la Côte d'Azur.
